Watermelon Tourmaline in The Morning Light

This gorgeous and rare crystal is Watermelon Tourmaline. As a group tourmalines were discovered in the Unites States in the 1800’s. Watermelon Tourmaline was first found in a quarry in Maine in 1902. From what I have been able to piece together it was named by Naturalist George Robely Howe. Aside from the United Stated, Watermelon Tourmaline can be found in Brazil and Madagascar. On the MOHS scale it has a hardness of 7 to 7.5. Because of its unusual color banding and rareness this crystal can be quite expensive. Some pieces can be thousands of dollars.

Being pink and green this gorgeous crystal is all about the heart and the Heart Chakra. Watermelon Tourmaline soothes all areas related to the heart on both a physical level and at the Chakra Center helping to clear blocks and balance the Heart Chakra with both color frequencies.

Some of the other characteristics of this crystal are:

• Awakens and attracts love.
• Brings an appreciation for nature.
• Calms emotional stress, fear and anger.
• Invites compassion.
• Opens the heart to unconditional love in both relationships and for the earth.

Today’s Daily Draw

In the tarot the ten is the fulfillment of a journey through each of the four suits. The path has been traveled, it’s lessons learned bringing us to a time of reflection. The Ten of Water has come to remind us of how far we have come. We may not be where we want to be. Our goal might be up the path, but for today where we are is the fulfillment of our hard work and the decisions we have made. The ten of water reminds us of the value of our relationships with family and friends. The rainbow talks to us about balance and harmony, it’s also a promise of what is still on its way. Spend some time reflecting on all the blessings in your life. We may not have the home of our dreams yet, our car might need some work and the people we love sometimes annoy us, but what we have is pretty amazing isn’t it?

Today’s Universal Number

We have the final master number of the month and it’s the 33/6. I’ve said it before, I love the synchronicity! We know that three is joyful, creative, loving and expressive. As a 33 this energy is amplified. 33/6 is a very nurturing, loving energy. Thirty three is the number of the Ascended Masters, it is Yeshoas number so this tells us it is also about caring for and healing ourselves and others. What a perfect number for today!

Today’s Crystals

Gratitude and appreciation are born in the Heart Chakra. The three crystals I chose today help us reflect and be grateful. Rose Quartz is, of course, all about love so it is a perfect choice to help us appreciate all that we have and all we accomplished so far. Aventurine is known to be the stone of luck and opportunity. It works to bring what we desire to us. It also helps us to appreciate what we already have. The final crystal choice is Larimar. It might be a bit of a stretch but I chose it because it is a water element crystal. It brings us to a place of calm appreciation.

At first glance the Three of Disks seems to be about careers, teamwork and advancement and it is, but if you look closer, you’ll also see it is also about using our creative abilities and skills well. Our card is reversed today, and this tells us that we might have a problem being on the same page as other people. This could lead to frustration and competing with each other for recognition and fighting over who is in charge or what idea is best instead of working as a team to get a job done. If this is the case today we have a couple of options. We can sit down with everyone and talk about how useless it is to be working against each other and come to a solution that will get the job done and make everyone look good or we can walk away from the situation, join another team or work on the project alone. We all want to be respected and appreciated. We all want to feel like we are contributing to the team. The decision to stay and try to make the situation work for or to walk away shouldn’t be made lightly. It comes down to deciding what is most important for each of us.

We have a three day and this energy might be very useful. The light, social and joyful energy can help us work through any competitive energy in creative and productive ways.

Today’s Crystal

Aventurine is the crystal choice for today. Being green it works well with the Heart Chakra. This will help us to be calm and forgiving in situations where people might not be behaving and treating each other well. It also is a crystal of opportunity so used in a team situation it could help everything to work out to the benefit of all involved.

How many times a day do the words, Thank You, come out of our mouths? How many of those times do we really mean it? That’s the key isn’t it? Are we saying thank you out of habit or because we mean it. Gratitude and Appreciation asks us to be aware of all that we have, all the Thank You moments we experience and be truly grateful. If finding something to be thankful for is difficult, begin with the fact that you woke up, and go from there. Thank You that I have another day to spend with the people I love. Being grateful and appreciative won’t make life’s problems go away, but it makes our lives happier and more meaningful.

Gratitude & Appreciation

How often are we truly grateful for what we have? Do we appreciate the people in our lives or do they get lost on the list of things we need to tend to. We live in a society that pushes us to live beyond our means and place our jobs before anything else. Gratitude & Appreciation came up for us and asks, are we grateful for what we have in our lives? Do we let our family, friends and even co-workers know how much we appreciate having them in our circle? It’s easy to get lost in routine and responsibility but, when we live in a state of thankfulness what matters the most to us is at the top of our priority list instead of treading water at the bottom. Take a look around today and see all good and wonderful things that there is to be grateful for. We may not have everything we would like, yet, but we have what we need. We have people who love us and that is way more than some have. We don’t have to spend our lives playing the keep up with the Jones’s game, being happy is so much better.

Today’s universal energy is a three, how cool is that? There are no accidents. The three energy is joyful and expressive. It’s a perfect number for today. I chose Aventurine and Angelite to accompany todays card. We know that aventurine brings opportunities to us and helps us clear negative patterns from our lives. It also helps us be optimistic and be grateful for what life has brought us. Angelite has a very gentle energy but still packs a punch. This crystal helps us connect with our angel guides. It works well with the throat, third eye and crown chakras to help us express our gratitude and appreciation.

Cuddle ~ Longing

Here in the United States it’s Memorial Day weekend. The extra day to relax and spend time with family and friends is something most people appreciate. There will be grills in use all over the place in the next couple of days. Memorial Day is a time to pause and remember the sacrifice of all those who lost their lives in active military service. For many people it’s also a time to remember our lost family and friends. Cemeteries are filled with people placing flowers on the graves this weekend. To be honest though, for the many people it’s just an extra day off and the official, unofficial kick off to the summer season. Today’s cards fit in with the theme of this weekend. Cuddle and Longing jumped out of the deck to give us a little reminder of just how important our family and close friends are to us. We might have disagreements now and then but these are the people we know we can count on. When we need a shoulder or help we call them first. They are the ones who will tell us the truth even if we don’t want to hear it. These are the people we share our hopes and dreams with. We may not always understand each other but the thought of living without them is scary. Let the people you love know what they mean to you today. Call them if they aren’t close by and catch up. Light a candle for those you’ve lost and share stories of time spent together. Time is so precious. We never really understand that until it’s too late. Have a pleasant day, and let the people you love know how much you appreciate them.

There are many crystals that aid relationships like Larimar for example if you are looking for your soul mate, Moonstone can deepen a relationship, Topaz helps us forgive and Rhodonite helps us be compassionate. These are all fantastic but I chose Rose Quartz because it is the go to crystal of love for many people. Rose Quartz helps us love ourselves enough to accept love. Being a member of the quartz family it clears negativity like stored anger, guilt and resentment, while building compassion and love.

Gratitude & Appreciation

I thought this was an interesting card for today. There is a lot of negativity going on in the world, but the card that chose us asks us to find the good. Gratitude & Appreciation came to tell us that no matter what is going on there is always something to be grateful for. We have this beautiful world, family and friends. In spite of how little we may think we have, there are people with much less. Look around today and notice all the reasons to be thankful. If someone does something kind for you, let them know you appreciate it. Do some thing kind to help a stranger and be the reason for their gratitude and let the people in our lives know how much we appreciate them. Let’s send out a tidal wave of Gratitude & Appreciation to the world today. All that positive energy might start a trend!

This blog is almost two years old. My other one is less than a year. I began the blog at the urging of my son. Writing has always been a big part of who I am and he thought it would be a good addition to my business. I figured life is an adventure so why not give it a go!
What are you most proud of? 
I am proud of who I’ve been because it has led me to who I am becoming. I am proud of my family’s heritage. I am proud of my son. He is the most amazing person I have ever met. I am proud and honored to be of service to humanity.

Helping people be their best selves has always been my focus. Writing has always been something I am pretty good at. The Lovers

Today is a day of love and appreciation for our Fathers but also for others and ourselves. The Lovers card came today to tell us that it is alright to surrender to love. There are many types and it’s always a risk to open ourselves up, but at the same time it’s always a risk worth taking. We have love for many things in our lives. We love our life partners, our families and friends, neighbors, jobs, co-workers and even our pets. We can love books, music, a dream, God and maybe the dandelions nestled happily in our lawn. Today is a day to appreciate the many kinds of love we experience. Let the people in our lives know how much they mean to us. Enjoy and spread the love!
