Chakra and Angel Friday – Archangel Azrael

Good morning welcome back to chakra and Angel Friday. Today is an Angel week and we’re looking at an Archangel that is not well known, Archangel Azrael.  Archangel Azrael’s name has a couple different meanings depending on what source you reference. One says the name means Whom God Helps and another said Angel of God. Azrael is the Angel of Death and presents as male more than female.

There are a few alternate spellings you might come across such as Azarel, Azrail, and Izrail. He is recognized as an Archangel by Islam, some Jewish and Sikh faith traditions. Azrael is sometimes confused with the fallen angel Azazil.

Many people fear the Angel of Death but as the angel assigned this job he is very compassionate, comforting, patient, and understanding. He doesn’t wander around in a black hooded cloak carrying a sickle taking any life he chooses. He only takes the souls the Divine assign as ready to come home.

The colors associated with Archangel Azrael are white and cream. The choir he is thought to be from is the Dominions.

As the Angel of Death Azrael does more than keep track of and transport transitioning souls. With his very compassionate heart he helps people work through grief and loss to remind us we have much to live for.

  • He helps people connect with their heart.
  • He assists people in doing a life review, and to review past lives so they can correct their path and make needed changes.
  • He helps people forgive themselves and others.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this brief look at Archangel Azrael, and that it helps you understand how this Archangel can help to enrich your life. Have a great weekend and come back for the next post where I will be talking about the Stellar Gateway.

Until Next Time,

Chakra and Angel Friday – Archangel Haniel

Good morning everyone. It is Chakra and Angel Friday and we are going to take a look at Archangel Haniel, so let’s get going J

Haniel presents as female more than male and is the Angel of Joy. Her name means Grace of God although I found sources that say both Glory and Joy as well. I found quite a few alternate spellings for Haniel. Rather than list them all I will share just a few. They are Hannanel, Anel, Hannael, Aniel and Omoel.

She is said to be from the choir of the Virtues and is graceful, understanding, thoughtful and charming when working with her. She is acknowledged in some Christian traditions as well as in the Kabbalah of the Jewish tradition. Haniel is the keeper of the 7th Sephirot which is Netzach (Eternity) on the tree of life.

Along with multiple name meanings for Haniel I found multiple color associations for her as well. The first is Blue and Green, Silver and Blue and finally Turquoise and Silver. She is said to work with the moon and crystals. Some associated with her are Angelite, Moonstone, Chrysoprase and Selenite.

Like all Archangels Haniel will come and assist you when asked. Being the angel of joy she will gladly help you find joy, grace, beauty and harmony in your life when we are struggling to find anything to be joyful about. In doing this she helps us overcome problems we thought couldn’t be solved. A change in our attitude makes all the difference. She helps us realize that everything we need is already here inside us, we simply have to access it.

Some of the other things Haniel will help with are:

  • She will give wisdom and knowledge to those who ask.
  • She will grant honest wishes from the heart.
  • She will help develop psychic and intuitive gifts.
  • She helps you trust in the Divine.
  • She will help you find new and creative ideas.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this brief look at Archangel Haniel, and that it helps you understand how this Archangel can help to enrich your life. Have a great weekend and come back for the next post where I will be talking about the Soul Star Chakra.

Until Next Time,

Chakra and Angel Friday – Crown Chakra

Good morning everyone this week on Angel and Chakra Friday we are taking a look at the Crown Chakra. This is the final Chakra associated with the physical body. Placed at the top of the head it is the center for our connection to spirit, wisdom and the divine by whatever name you use. The color is violet.

When out of balance we can experience a range of symptoms. For example if underactive you might feel foggy, confused, closed minded, lethargic and disconnected from life, spirit and the Divine. If overactive you might be self destructive, over think everything and generally feel like you just can’t get yourself together.

When our Crown Chakra is balanced we are able to understand from a larger perspective that we are connected to everything, we’re all one, that there is a higher purpose. This makes us more able to be compassionate and forgiving. When balanced we have a strong connection to our spiritual beliefs and practices as well as a strong intuition.

Physically the symptoms you might experience are depression, having trouble focusing and understanding, you might have frequent tension headaches or have sensitivity to light and sound.

As with the previous Chakras yoga and meditation can help clear and balance the Crown Chakra. Working with singing bowls, mantras and affirmations is also good. If you work with crystals Moonstone, Amethyst and Selenite are excellent choices.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this brief look at the Crown Chakra, and that it helped you understand what it does and how it helps us. Keep in mind as I discuss each chakra and the physical or emotional symptoms when they’re unbalanced or blocked; those symptoms should not be ignored. If severe seek the medical practitioner of your choice as you work to clear and balance your chakra. Have a great week and come back for the next post where I will be talking about Archangel Haniel.

Until Next Time,
Blessed Be ❤ Sharon

Chakra and Angel Friday – Jophiel

Good morning everyone welcome to Chakra and Angel Friday. This is an Angel day and we’re taking a look at Archangel Jophiel. This Archangels name means Beauty of God and presents as both female and male. I have mentioned in previous articles that angels are genderless but can present themselves male or female as needed. Although Jophiel does present as both the female aspect seems to be more often represented.

There are a handful of alternate spellings for Jophiel like Iophiel, Iofiel, Jofiel, Yofiel, Tsophiel and Zophiel. Most sources in my research say Archangel Jophiel is from the choir of the Cherubim but I came across another that placed her in the highest level of Heaven which would put her in the choir of the Seraphim. If that is not confusing enough there are a couple facts that are also contradictory.

The first being she carries a flaming sword which the Seraphim are known to do. The other is that she is also known to be guarding the Garden in Eden and the Tree of Life which is something the Cherubim were assigned to after they kicked Adam and Eve out of the Garden. I must say I’m a little confused. More research is required for this one.

The faith traditions that recognize Archangel Jophiel are a couple Christian traditions and the Jewish tradition. She is said to be protector of the Torah and that she organizes the readings from it on Sabbath days. The Jewish faith didn’t recognize Angels until after their time of captivity in Babylon.

The Archangels they do recognize are Michael, Raphael, Uriel and Gabriel. So, more often than not when I say an Archangel is recognized by the Jewish tradition I am speaking of the mystical aspect of the faith, the Zohar and Kabbalah. Within this part of the Jewish faith tradition Jophiel leads 53 legions of angels alongside Archangel Michael in the battle against evil in the spiritual realm.

Archangel Jophiel is a very warm, friendly, and positive being. From my research it seems she is quite tall, wears yellow and carries a flaming yellow sword that she uses to help cut through the clutter to get to wisdom and illumination.

With her name meaning Beauty of God she helps us see beauty in all areas of our lives. Part of this is bringing creativity, wisdom and illumination to us. She is the patron saint of artists and all types of crafts people, helping ignite their creative spark. Jophiel helps us stay confident by reminding us of the amazing things that can happen when we believe. She is probably the first to teach that energy follows focus. When we focus on good and beautiful things, good and beautiful things will happen.

Another aspect of beauty is being grateful. Jophiel helps us find beauty in being content and with what we already have in our lives. Gratitude goes a long way, after all if we aren’t grateful for the gifts we already have, why should we be given more?

Archangel Jophiel is also the angel of wisdom and understanding and she will help us cut through the nonsense of bad habits, old thought patterns and beliefs that no longer serve our highest good in order to help us be more positive, have healthier relationships and take better care of ourselves. In addition if you are struggling to learn a new skill, studying for an exam or need to understand something better, call on Jophiel for help. That is all we have to do. The Archangels are more than happy to help us, all we have to do is ask.

Crystals you might like to use when working with Archangel Jophiel are Citrine, Ametrine and Smokey Quartz. Scents you might like to use are Lemongrass, Lavender, Orange and Myrrh.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this brief look at Archangel Jophiel, and that it helps you understand how this Archangel helps to enrich our lives. Have a great week and come back for the next post where I will be talking about the Crown Chakra.

Until Next Time,
Blessed Be ❤ Sharon

Chakra and Angel Friday – Metatron

Good morning everyone, welcome back to Chakra and Angel Friday. This week we’re taking a look at Archangel Metatron. The story of Metatron is an interesting one which begins with Enoch, a pre-flood prophet of God. He was the son of Jared and father of Methuselah in the line of Seth, seven generations out from Adam and Eve.

Fun Fact

Adam was 622 years old when Enoch was born.

Pre-flood people lived much longer than we do. Several hundred years, in fact the Bible says Methuselah lived to be 960. There are several theories as to why people lived longer. It could be the climate of Earth was changed dramatically, maybe post flood peoples diets changed. To my knowledge sacred texts don’t answer this question of why, so we’ll have to wait and find out.

Did Enoch and Adam know each other? Yes they probably did; in my research I found a text that spoke about Adam blessing Enoch and making him a priest of Melchizedek. From what I can tell Adam actually outlived Enoch by several hundred years.

Now Back to Metatron

The Angelic Realm is an entirely different, much earlier, level of creation than humans. People do not go home to Heaven and become an angel. That is not how the Divine created it. There were two exceptions made by the Godhead and Enoch is the first of those two humans to be taken alive to into the seventh level of Heaven when he was 365 years old, given wings and transformed into an Archangel.

As an Archangel the meaning of Metatron is a little unclear. Being a human his angelic name doesn’t end in the traditional “el” designating a being of God even though we were created in his image. I found a few different possibilities for the meaning of his name such as Youth, The Lesser Yahweh, Twin, Highest Angel, and One Who Occupies the Throne Next to the Divine.

He is acknowledged by Islam, and some Christian faith traditions. The Jewish tradition doesn’t outwardly recognize Metatron but he is mentioned a few times in the Talmud and is associated with the Kabbalah. As always various faiths mean spelling differences and we have a couple for Metatron. They are Metatetron, Merraton, Metaraon, Mitatrun and Mittron.

Since he was a man who lived and experienced a lifetime here Metatron presents as male. He is said to be strong, focused and direct but very understanding because he knows the struggles we humans go through. The colors he wears are violet and green. The Angelic Choir he is associated with is the Seraphim. This makes since as he is always in the presence of the Divine carrying out his will. The crystal most associated with him is Watermelon Tourmaline.

Metatron is the angel of thought and empowerment, partly due to his job while on Earth. Enoch, being an educated man knew how to read and write so he offered his services as a scribe. In Biblical times scribes worked as teachers, copying manuscripts, and record keepers. When taken to heaven those skills were utilized for the Divine. He is said to be the keeper of the Akashic Records.

This is the long way around to explaining being the Angel of thought and empowerment. But within these records is every thought we think, every action we take. Whether good, bad or indifferent Metatron sees and records it. He knows the power of though and what it can bring to our lives so he acts as a mediator between us and the Divine to help replace negative thoughts with positive ones; to remember who we are and the power we have within the Divine then to use that power for the good of all.

Let’s take a look at some of the other things Metatron assists with:

  • He helps people stay on track with their life purpose.
  • He helps people deal with stress by guiding them to stay balanced and grounded.
  • He helps people to identify and develop their skills.
  • He helps people in the process of starting new projects.
  • He works with the flow of energy in the universe to and from the Divine.
  • He helps people understand the Divines perspective.
  • He helps people learn how to work with the angelic realm.
  • He helps motivate people and overcome procrastination.
  • He works with sensitive children/people to cope with the experience of being in this lifetime.
  • He works with gifted people in whatever area their gift is, music, writing, art, healing or a spiritual gift to help them develop and use that gift for the betterment of all.

There is more I could tell you but I will call it here. I haven’t even touched on Metatrons Cube! It’s absolutely fascinating so that will be the subject for another day. I hope you’ve enjoyed this look at Archangel Metatron, and that it helps you understand how he helps enrich our lives. Have a great week and come back for the next Chakra and Angel Friday post where I will be talking about the Third Eye Chakra.

Have a fabulous day!

Chakra and Angel Friday – Archangel Raguel

Good morning welcome to Chakra and Angel Friday. This is an angel day and Archangel Raguel is our subject. Raquel’s name means Friend of God and is the angel of Justice and Harmony. Archangel Raguel presents as male. When working with him he comes off very friendly but in a logical, unbiased way to bring realistic solutions to problems. When being depicted in art he is generally seen as wearing pale blue and white, and as the angel of justice, carrying a judge’s gavel or scepter.

He is one of the Seven Angels of Presence and holds a special job in that he oversees the Angelic realm to ensure everyone is working well together and the Divine’s will is being carried out. The faith traditions that recognize Archangel Raguel are the Jewish and some of the Christian traditions. Like other Archangels there are a few alternate spellings for this angel such as Raguil, Rufael, and Akrasiel.

When I was researching which Choir he was from I found that two were mentioned. A few sites said he was from the Thrones and a couple others said he was from the Principalities which makes more sense. Principalities are charged with overseeing nations, groups and people here on Earth. It’s not a huge leap to be doing the same in the angelic realm.

Some of the other duties Archangel Raguel carries out are:

  • Being the angel of justice he turns on his diplomacy skills and helps resolve conflicts between people, groups or nations.
  • He helps people who feel manipulated or disempowered.
  • He works to correct social disorder.
  • He helps people with legal issues.
  • He brings harmony to tense situations so people can come to a place of cooperation.
  • He is charged with carrying out Gods will against those who rebel against his will.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this brief look at Archangel Raguel, and that it helps you understand how the Archangel’s help to enrich our lives. Have a great week and come back for the next Chakra and Angel post where I will be talking about the Throat Chakra.

Until Next Time,

Chakra and Angel Friday

Good morning welcome back to Chakra and Angel Friday. This is an angel week and we’re taking a look at Archangel Uriel, which means Light or Flame of God. I’ve seen variations as God is light and Fire of God.

Uriel presents as both male and female, she is a brilliant, powerful being who is usually shown wearing white and gold, carrying a book or scroll. She is considered one of the seven angels of presence and is acknowledged by both Jewish and some Christian faith traditions. As religious texts are translated from one language to another, spellings of the name can change. Some of the variations are Usiel, Uzziel, Oriel, Auriel, Suriel and Urael.

Most sources are in agreement that this Archangel is from the Choir of the Cherubim. Archangel Uriel is associated with the direction North, the element of Earth and rules over Tuesday. The scents associated with Uriel are sandalwood, ginger and basil. Crystals associated with her are Hematite, Obsidian, Tigers Eye, and Rutilated Quartz.

In my research I’ve come across several different responsibilities for Archangel Uriel. Most agree she is the Angel of knowledge, wisdom, and transformation but I’ve also found a couple sources which say she is the angel of repentance as well. Here are some of the other things she helps us with:

  • She helps people recognize their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Helps people gain clarity.
  • Helps turn negative emotions to positive.
  • Helps people discover their potential.
  • Helps people to a place of new faith and hope.
  • She is the angel of music, poetry and prophecy.
  • Helps develop psychic gifts.
  • She watches over the natural world to ensure all is well, and monitors the position of the sun and stars.
  • She is said to be one of the guardians of the tree of knowledge.
  • She helps people focus on the creator.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this brief look at  Archangel Uriel, and that it helps you understand what this Archangel does for our lives. Have a great week and come back for the next post where I will be talking about Archangel Raguel.

Chakra and Angel Friday

Good morning, it’s Friday and we’re here with a new edition of Chakra and Angel Friday. We have Angels today and we’re taking a look at Archangel Raphael.

His name means God Heals or The Shining One who Heals. Raphael is the angel of healing. We know angels are genderless but Raphael presents as both Female and Male, so your experience could be as either. She is considered to be very kind, loving, comforting and always compassionate but also with a great sense of humor.

Raphael is considered to be from the choir of Seraphim and have influence over Wednesday. In the Kabbalah she is guardian of the sixth Sephirot, Tipareth (Beauty) and the eighth Hod (Glory). In addition to the Jewish tradition Raphael is also recognized in Islam and some Christian traditions.

Emerald Green is the color generally associated with her. In another source the colors blue and yellow were also mentioned. Interesting the combined we have green! From my research she seems to really like Iris’s so spring is her season. The crystals associated with Raphael are Emeralds, Malachite, Citrine and Aventurine.

Archangel Raphael is one of the seven known as the Angels of Presence. I mentioned previously that the Angels of Presence are chosen by the Godhead to be in his presence and do his will. It is also said that they were created on the first day to participate with him in sanctifying the Sabbath.

Being the Archangel of healing Raphael’s focus is not on physical healing only. All healing is within her scope; body, mind, spirit, emotion, relationships, animals and the Earth! Along with healing she is also thought to be the angel of science and knowledge as both can be incorporated into the healing process and she is more than happy to guide you to knowledge you need to assist your healing.

A couple interesting areas I found in my research is that Raphael will assist in healing past life related medical issues. If called on she will help with healing addiction problems as well as calming cravings. Are you trying to quit smoking or want to lose a few pounds? Call on Raphael for help. She will help manage pain but if the issue is not written into your life plan why not heal it instead of manage it!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this brief look at Archangel Raphael, and that it helped you understand how this amazing Archangel can help in our everyday lives. Have a great week and come back for the next Chakra and Angel Friday post where I will be talking about the Solar Plexus Chakra.

Have a fabulous day!

Chakras and Angels Friday

Good morning, welcome back to Chakras and Angels Friday. This is an Angel week and we’re taking a look at Archangel Gabriel. Like Michael, Gabriel is one of the seven Angels of Presence. Depending on religious tradition the list varies as to members by two or three, but I will be taking a look at all of them throughout this subject of Archangels.

Angels of Presence are seven Archangels chosen by the Godhead to stand in his presence and do the will of the Godhead as directed. Can you imagine standing in the presence of the being who created everything that is, was, or ever will be!

I found two variations of the name meaning; the most well known being Strength of God with an alternate of God is my Hero. While the Godhead is my hero I am inclined to go with Strength of God simply because it’s what I grew up with.

Archangel Gabriel is known as the Angel of the enunciation, and of truth. It was Gabriel that delivered the message from the Godhead to Mary and Elizabeth of their impending pregnancies. It was more than likely Gabriel who spoke with Zechariah and Joseph regarding the birth of the children, and for Joseph the move to Egypt and back. It was Gabriel who dictated the Koran to the Prophet Mohammed.

As I have mentioned in previous articles Angels are genderless. When being seen is necessary they can chose to appear male or female as needed to make the person they are speaking to not freak out, much. It makes the argument of angelic gender a moot point, but from my research Gabriel appears as female more than male.

In meditation I connected with and asked her what she looked like and was told she appears human, is tall, has Golden Copper Hair, and dresses in gold and white. Because she is the chief messenger of the Divine she is depicted carrying a trumpet, but she also rather likes white lilies and is occasionally represented with them. For me she is very elegant, positive and encouraging. The choir Gabriel was chosen from varies depending on its source. Most vary between Virtues and Cherubim. There are characteristics of both choirs which make sense based on her activities. So again, in meditation I asked and she said she was from the Choir of Virtues before being an Archangel.

The faith traditions which recognize Archangel Gabriel are Islam, Judaism, and various Christian faiths. Alternate spellings associated with these are Jibril, Jabrail, Abruel, and Gavriel. The element associated with Gabriel is water, the direction is west, season is autumn and the crystals you can use to work with Archangel Gabriel are Carnelian, Moonstone and Selenite. Selenite would be a good choice for any of the Archangels. The scents associated with Gabriel are Jasmine, Rose, Eucalyptus, Myrrh and Lily, and finally the day of the week she governs is Monday.

When looking at the duties Archangel Gabriel carries out for the Divine, they break down into two categories. Overall Gabriel is, first and foremost, the Godheads chief messenger, but both categories come in under an umbrella of Motivation. Archangel Gabriel’s goal is to assist people in growing into the best, highest versions of themselves they can be.

She will encourage and inspire you to follow a dream, take a class; go for that promotion or even to start you own business. The process will be difficult, of course, but she will be there to cheering you on, help you develop the determination and discipline needed to keep you focused on moving forward to make your dreams a reality, and to live your truth.

Being a communicator Archangel Gabriel helps creative people of all kinds, musicians, writers, singers, dancers, designers, and artists. Call on Gabriel for help ensuring a thought or message is understood, to help develop an idea to its fullest, or to find just the right words.

Another area Archangel Gabriel assists with has to do with people trying to have children. Whether you are trying to conceive a child or adopt Gabriel can help. Gabriel also works with babies during the months prior to birth explaining the ins and outs of life here in the 3D. Of course we don’t remember any of this after the fact, but she does and it’s probably a good thing. Just waiting for nine months to be born could be boring.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this brief look at Archangel Gabriel, and that it helped you understand what this beautiful angel does to enhance our lives.

Have a fabulous day
Blessed Be ❤ Sharon

Chakra and Archangel Friday

Welcome to Chakra and Archangel Friday. This is an Archangel week and the first Archangel we’re looking at is one of the most well known Archangels, Michael.

His name means “He who is like God”, and he is the angel of Protection, Justice and Strength. In my research I found that Archangel Michael has been placed as leader of three different Choirs, they are the Principalities, Powers and Virtues. I thought this was confusing so I asked him which he is leader of and was told the Virtues.

He presents male and is said to be tall and handsome. When depicted in pictures he is generally wearing some kind of battle gear and carrying a sword. The color blue is associated with Michael. When he’s around it’s not uncommon to see blue and purple sparkles of light and feel warm. He has very high energy and is not one to mess around. He will tell you exactly what you need to hear without beating around the bush.

Some interesting tidbits I’ve found in my research. I’ve already mentioned the colors associated with Michael being blue and purple. He is in charge of the element of fire, the direction South, the Season of Summer, and Sunday. The crystals associated with him are Amethyst and Sugilite. Scents associated with Michael are chamomile, frankincense, rosemary and sage.

Some other interesting facts I discovered in my research over the years is he was the Angel that taught Adam to farm and care for the garden. He was the Angel that gave Joan of Arc the courage and inspiration to lead Frances army in the 100 year war. He is also the patron saint of police and was made a saint by the Catholic Church in 1950.

Michael is recognized by the Jewish, Catholic /Christian and Islam faiths as an Archangel of God. A few alternate names and spellings are Beshter, Mika’il, and Sabbathiel. He is said to be the protector of the Jewish people, He is one of the angels of presence, and in the Kabbalah he guards the first Sephirot (Crown), the sixth Tipareth (Beauty) as well as the eighth Hod (Glory).

Now for the list of Archangel Michael’s duties:

  • Archangel is heavens greatest defender and mightiest warrior.
  • He is the guide to Earths light workers guiding us to teach and heal either on a casual or professional level.
  • Protects you, your family, property, job and reputation.
  • He helps people sever connections to things that no longer serve our highest good in the past, present, physical and etheric realms.
  • Helps clear negativity, fear and doubt.
  • Helps you stay on track with your life purpose.
  • Gives clear guidance to the next step to be taken on our journey.
  • Helps you raise your vibration.
  • Encourages you to make life changes that will help you grow.

I hope you’ve found this brief look at Archangel Michael interesting. The information I share is from research I’ve done. Although I am careful to verify the information I find to the best of my ability, I don’t claim to be an expert.

Have a great weekend and a safe New Year.
