Mondays have their own special kind of stress to them. After an enjoyable weekend we’re not eager to get up and go to work. It sets the tone for the whole week; a Monday that doesn’t go well can drag down the rest of the week if we’re not careful. As we begin our new day and week we have Comfort and Authority to guide us. If we are up against a confusing or stressful situation, our main card, Comfort tells us that it is alright to take a break if we need to. We should do what we need to do in order to be comfortable with whatever we are dealing with. Don’t be forced into decisions we aren’t prepared to make, or pushed into taking actions we don’t feel are necessary. If we have a plan, stick to it or make adjustments if it’s needed. Our Bottom card, Authority, is perfect. It tells us we have the power, own it!!

Today’s Universal Number

We have a Five Day today. With a five energy we know to be prepared because anything can happen. Be open, ready for anything, flexible, and have a plan B!

Today’s Crystals

Today’s choice to accompany our cards is Hypersthene. At  first glance it’s not a very interesting stone. It is, however a beauty. Hypersthene has a bit of a Feldspar shimmer to it as well as some very useful qualities that make it perfect for today. This is an excellent choice when we are looking for answers and solutions to our problems. It has a calming effect when we are stressed and need to relax so we can think. And, if you are looking to grow your psychic abilities this is a stone you want to be working with!

Today’s Daily Draw

In life we have the choice to let it happen to us or take an active part in it what happens. Authority is here to let us know that It’s our life and we have to choose to speak up and take action today or sit back and say nothing. If something isn’t going well today or something we want to do, Attempt tells us to go for it. The message for today is we need to make the time to do what is important to us. It’s our life and if there is something we need or want, don’t sit back. Take action!

Today’s Universal Number

We have a Nine Day and the energy is about endings and beginnings. Nine tells us to wrap up any loose ends, let go of what is not for our highest good and prepare for the new and better that is on it’s way.

Today’s Crystals

The crystals we have today are Clear Quartz and Rose Quartz. Quartz is the master healer. It helps turn negative energy into positive, it clears our aura and brings in light. Quartz is both a receiver and transmitter making it programmable. Rose Quartz has all of the base family characteristics plus it has its own and that is a focus on love.  Our crystals will help us to focus on the outcome we want most then supports and encourages us to do what is best for us.

Today’s Daily Draw

Everyone has days that are confusing or so emotional we have trouble putting our thoughts together. Forget trying to find a solution when nothing clear or making sense. After yesterdays high we might need to step back and take a break so that we can gain some perspective and figure out what is going on. The Shaman tells us rushing in and trying to push our agenda or hammer a solution into the mix could just make things worse. So don’t do that. Our bottom card, the King of Wands has a better idea. His suggestion is to take the lead and gather everyone involved together; give each person uninterrupted time to present their ideas or explanations about whatever our issue is. Once that is done some open and unbiased communication should allow for a compromise and a plan of action can be made to solve our problem.

Today’s Universal Number

We have a Nine Day and this is perfect for us. The energy of the nine is about transitions and changes. Both our universal day and our card for today is a nine. So lets put an ending on it, clear up the work that needs to be done and get ready for the new energy!

Today’s Crystals

The two crystals chosen for today are Goldstone and Labradorite. Labradorite is a gorgeous and very useful crystal. Its energy is about transformation and will help us connect to our inner guidance and strength in order to make any changes that are necessary. Goldstone is a crystal that encourages our ambition to achieve our goals, one we know what we want and have a plan.

Today’s Daily Draw

Care is here today to remind us that the world is a busy place. It’s packed with days full of responsibilities like work, kids, and school. Taking care of the people we love is not always easy; Making sure they have what they need. There is nothing better than knowing someone is there for us when we don’t feel well, are angry and need to vent, or it’s been a horrible day and we just need someone to sit and cry with. Authority also came to tell us that everything in our lives is our responsibility. Taking care of our needs is not selfish. If all we do is give we eventually have nothing to give. If we recognize a need today, step up and make the change necessary to ensure that it’s taken care of.

Today’s universal number is Eight and this is a number that has the power and the authority to get things done. It’s a number of balance and abundance.

It’s interesting that the choices are both green. I chose Malachite and African Turquoise Jasper. They are the color of the Heart Chakra. The color of love, compassion, kindness and caring.

We spend most of our time everyday doing the things we need to do because we are adults and that’s what we’re supposed to do. There is nothing wrong with being responsible or dependable, these are good things. The question we must ask if we are taking action on things that need it, are we paying attention to important details? Authority chose us today to let us know that our lives are our responsibility. If we are not going in the direction we want, it’s us we need to blame. Our card asks us to take a look around and see if there is anything that needs to be changed or put back on track. Yes we have things we must do but where we have control, take control and make decisions that will send you in the direction that resonates with your life and your path.

Today’s energy is nine and we are in a position to do some clearing and getting organized. Nine is a transition number, it’s an ending that opens up to a new beginning. We are in a position today to get reorganized and back on track today. Use it well!

Authority ~ Longing

When we are young we dream about what our lives will be like when we grow up. Then we get here and a lot of our time is spent doing things we have to do to keep the bills paid and our families cared for, leaving our dreams on hold or forgotten. Authority and Longing asks what dreams or goals have been poking at the edges of our minds? Take a look at those goals today and see if now is the time to get on the road to making them a reality. Don’t spend time wishing and hoping things were different. We are the ones in charge of our destination and we have the power to make changes. Today to could be the day to start in a new direction!

Thunder Drum

Not everyone is comfortable being the person in charge, the voice of a cause or recognized as an authority about a topic or an issue. They are happy to be in the back ground quietly doing their thing. Sometimes, though, life has other plans and today could be one of those days for us. Thunder Drum came forward with the message that it’s time to stand and be counted. This is a card of authority and passion. Don’t be shy about who you are and what you believe today. Don’t worry about what people may think. Get involved, take a risk, make a stand for what you are passionate about and what truly matters to you. This could be the beginning of something amazing.

As usual I had trouble deciding which crystals to accompany today’s card. there is such a variety of choices. I don’t want to use anything that is difficult to find or overly expensive. My goal with this section of the Daily Draw is to help you, my wonderful readers understand how the use of crystals can benefit so many areas of your life. So I chose three today. Moonstone has a gentle calming energy but she packs a punch. Her energy helps us redefine and reorder our lives. She gives us a boost in our intuition and confidence. Fire Agate has a lower vibration than some other choices, but it’s energy gives us a drive to action, it increases our passion and gives us courage to follow them. Finally we have Citrine, this is a staple for me. It brings us energy, creativity, joy and light.

Authority

I don’t know anyone that doesn’t like being in control as much as possible of their lives, families and jobs. Being in control is good but taking Authority for one’s life is another thing entirely. Owning our power is not something everyone is comfortable doing and this is the message of today’s card. Our lives and everything associated with it is under our control. Nobody has the right to pressure us to do what we do not feel is the right thing. Our jobs are a different animal of course, and must be handled carefully but be mindful of what goes on around you in your personal and work life today. If something doesn’t seem right, don’t be afraid to step in and say “Wait a minute” This will open up the opportunity to talk about the issue, get some clarity and maybe find another way to go.

There is an old saying that goes “The devil is in the details”. This is kind of a weird saying but it’s true. It is in the details that things will go wrong and this is the message the cards have for us. Don’t spend so much time on the big picture today that we forget the small stuff. Whether it is in our personal or professional lives, take some time to look at the overall subject at hand and what has been done to accomplish the task. Don’t settle for less than what we want. If something needs to change ask for it. Go ahead and take the responsibility for making whatever adjustments are needed now to create the perfect balance we need in a work project or our lives. Taking action now can eliminate bigger problems down the road.

Warrior of the Heart

Being brave, taking that first step isn’t always easy, but it is what our card is asking of us today. Warrior of the Heart is here to tell us that today is not the day to be timid and stand in the shadows. We have the courage of our beliefs so step up, live from you heart and speak your truth. Remember that the bravest person is not the one that has the most wins. The bravest person is the one who is so confident that an enemy is not willing to fight. There are times when life requires us to step back and times when walking away is the best choice, but that is not today. Don’t allow limiting beliefs, whether they are yours or someone else’s, to stop you today. It’s OK to be afraid, it’s natural to want to protect ourselves, but take the step anyway. Speak up anyway. Do the right thing anyway. Fearless means fear less. Take a deep breath and do it. Our courage may inspire someone else to also be courageous.

For courage, Carnelian is a great go to crystal to help overcome fear and anxiety. I also chose Pyrite today. This is a crystal that is often overlooked. It is thought of as fools gold and that is all it is, but it has much to offer. Pyrite will help aleve anxiety and is also a good crystal to use for protection. If someone is trying to learn to handle money well, pyrite will help you be mindful of how and where you spend.
