Today’s Daily Draw

Gratitude & Appreciation

How often are we truly grateful for what we have? Do we appreciate the people in our lives or do they get lost on the list of things we need to tend to. We live in a society that pushes us to live beyond our means and place our jobs before anything else. Gratitude & Appreciation came up for us and asks, are we grateful for what we have in our lives? Do we let our family, friends and even co-workers know how much we appreciate having them in our circle? It’s easy to get lost in routine and responsibility but, when we live in a state of thankfulness what matters the most to us is at the top of our priority list instead of treading water at the bottom. Take a look around today and see all good and wonderful things that there is to be grateful for. We may not have everything we would like, yet, but we have what we need. We have people who love us and that is way more than some have. We don’t have to spend our lives playing the keep up with the Jones’s game, being happy is so much better.

Today’s Universal Number

Today’s universal energy is a three, how cool is that? There are no accidents. The three energy is joyful and expressive. It’s a perfect number for today. Tell people how much you appreciate them today. Do something fun and spontaneous. Pack a picnic and have dinner in the park. Take the kids to the zoo. Go for a hike. Enjoy the day!

Today’s Crystals

I chose Aventurine and Angelite to accompany todays card. We know that aventurine brings opportunities to us and helps us clear negative patterns from our lives. It also helps us be optimistic and be grateful for what life has brought us. Angelite has a very gentle energy but still packs a punch. This crystal helps us connect with our angel guides. It works well with the throat, third eye and crown chakras to help us express our gratitude and appreciation.

Today’s Daily Draw

Cuddle ~ Longing

Here in the United States it’s Memorial Day weekend. The extra day to relax and spend time with family and friends is something most people appreciate. There will be grills in use all over the place in the next couple of days. Memorial Day is a time to pause and remember the sacrifice of all those who lost their lives in active military service. For many people it’s also a time to remember our lost family and friends. Cemeteries are filled with people placing flowers on the graves this weekend. To be honest though, for the many people it’s just an extra day off and the official, unofficial kick off to the summer season. Today’s cards fit in with the theme of this weekend. Cuddle and Longing jumped out of the deck to give us a little reminder of just how important our family and close friends are to us. We might have disagreements now and then but these are the people we know we can count on. When we need a shoulder or help we call them first. They are the ones who will tell us the truth even if we don’t want to hear it. These are the people we share our hopes and dreams with. We may not always understand each other but the thought of living without them is scary. Let the people you love know what they mean to you today. Call them if they aren’t close by and catch up. Light a candle for those you’ve lost and share stories of time spent together. Time is so precious. We never really understand that until it’s too late. Have a pleasant day, and let the people you love know how much you appreciate them.

Today’s Universal Number

Today we have a seven day. This energy is a focus on knowing, learning and understanding. Seven is a number that seeks the hidden truth. Don’t take anything at face value today, look for the hidden truth.

Today’s Crystals

There are many crystals that aid relationships like Larimar for example if you are looking for your soul mate, Moonstone can deepen a relationship, Topaz helps us forgive and Rhodonite helps us be compassionate. These are all fantastic but I chose Rose Quartz because it is the go to crystal of love for many people. Rose Quartz helps us love ourselves enough to accept love. Being a member of the quartz family it clears negativity like stored anger, guilt and resentment, while building compassion and love.

Thankyou BJ for today’s guest reading!

Gathering Your Tribe

Our tribe is the group of like minded people who love and care about us. They could be family, friends or a mix of both. Their attitudes and beliefs are similar to our own and we feel safe being who we really are around them. Knowing that we are loved and supported means the world, it gives us the confidence to dream and to reach for those dreams. Gathering Your Tribe chose us and brings the message that today is a day to put what we need at the top of our lists and it’s ok sometimes we need to put ourselves first. We’ve had a lot on our minds lately and maybe even feel a little overloaded with responsibility. Gather the tribe today for a long lunch or even drinks after work. Tell them what is on your heart and relax. The support we need to keep going will be all around us and the universe will take care of the rest.

Today’s Universal Number

Today is the first Master Number of the month and we have an 11/2 energy to help us. The high energy of the day will encourage us to get a lot accomplished and in the process find our sense of harmony and balance again.

Today’s Crystals

Today is about self love and friends. To accompany this energy I chose Rose Quartz and Carnelian.

I can be contacted anytime, at elementmindbodyspirit@gmail.com,

would like a personal reading.

Today’s Daily Draw

Know – Do – Grow

Hey everyone, I hope your week is going good for you. I did another one of Sharon’s little pyramids for us.
Know: PounceWe might have a really good opportunity come our way today. Chances are it’s going to be something we have been wanting but we couldn’t rationalize the need or expense at the time, so we didn’t take the chance. Give it some thought today, a chance like this may not come around again. If you want it, don’t hesitate. Go for it!
Caution, You know there is going to be one of these. Our inner child says Go but our grown up nature says What a minute. This might be a good idea. Yes this chance is something we wanted in the past, but is it still valid for our lives now? Don’t be pressured into making a snap decision. Take a moment to decide if it still fits who we are and where we are going. If it does, then jump on it.
Friendly, For each of us, the decision to take the opportunity or not is personal. We will have made our choice based on what is best for ourselves and the people we love, and that is what matters most.
Have a good day!

Today’s Universal Number

Today is a Six day and the energy is going to be focused on the people in our lives. We will want to create happy and cooperative experiences for everyone. It’s a day for building current relationships, and making new connections.

Thank you BJ for today’s guest reading!

Friends bring so much to our lives, they are a support group when we are sad, a cheering section in good times, and a voice of reason when we are confused or angry that brings us back to a place of balance. Some are so close that they feel like family. Today’s draw tells us it’s a day to kick back and enjoy the company of friends. Why not make a few calls, fire up the grill and have an impromptu pot luck BBQ today? Make a couple of the calls to people you would like to get to know better. Welcome them onto the group and have a great day!

Today’s Universal Number

We have found our way back to nine. Nine is completion, compassion, energetic and creative. A good energy for finishing up anything left on our “To do” lists and then having a fun, relaxing day.

Thank you BJ for today’s guest draw!

During the difficult times of life we become aware of how blessed we are. When family and friends know of an illness or some other difficulty we are going through they are there for us, giving support and prayers to uplift and help us through the hard time. They are there for us on the good days as well, but it’s the bad days that we understand what a blessing they are to our lives. Today’s card, Blessings, is here to remind us that if we are going through something stressful or difficult today, all we have to do is ask and help is there. We don’t have to go through it alone, help is just a call away.

Today’s Universal Number

Today’s Universal Number is three. This is a creative, social and joyful energy. Why not call some friends or family to come over for a BBQ and have fun and brainstorm solutions to whatever issues may be troubling us.

Today’s Crystals

Today I chose Aventurine. This is a good crystal to aid in bringing in opportunities to help us move forward.

The Big Question

Hello again my friends. I am glad to see you!

I follow the blog of a young man named David Snape. He shares blogs that he finds interesting and hosts guest blogs. He also posts thought-provoking questions that he calls The Big Question on his blog and then reads many of the replies on his radio show. If you have never checked his blog out you can should it’s pretty cool.

A few weeks ago he posted his final question for the year asking what people were planning for the holiday and also what Christmas meant to them. You can find that post here. I thought I would share an expanded version of my reply to his question.

Christmas for me doesn’t hold the traditional frenzied activities most people experience. I don’t decorate, I don’t kill a tree or put up a fake one. I don’t send out cards with pictures and a long letter telling people about my families adventures during the year to people I rarely see or communicate with any other time of the year. There is a small amount of gift giving between family members and friends; a very small amount.

I find that Christmas is a time of such fake love and devotion. I do acknowledge that there are people truly devoted to God and family, but after 20 years in retail I have learned that a vast number of people associate love and time with things and the amount of money spent on those things.

People are so busy. They pack activities into their days instead of packing life and love into them. Little time is spent communicating and connecting with children, family and friends so to make up for it ridiculous amounts of money are spent on things that in reality aren’t a replacement for presence in someone’s life.

I am devoted to my family and friends everyday of the year. I don’t require a holiday to buy a gift. If I am shopping and see something a member of my family or a friend would love I buy it for them, just because. I find it offensive that for weeks and weeks every year we are inundated with advertisements to buy things “because you love her or you love him” I don’t want or need a $50.00 lambswool scarf to show that someone loves me. Give me a hug, tell me, talk to me and spend time with me! If I want or need that scarf I will buy it for myself. Things don’t make up for an absence of time spent nurturing a relationship.

I find it a bit sad that on Christmas churches are overflowing with people celebrating their faith but where is that devotion every other sabbath day? I am devoted to my Godhead everyday of the year not just on Christmas. I don’t need a holiday to celebrate my Godhead or prove my devotion.

I don’t follow conventional religion. To me it’s nothing but a web of lies and half-truths but I do however except that everyone is allowed to worship in a way that speaks to them. If that is within a conventional religion I will honor that and defend your right to follow your faith the way you want… However many days of the year you choose to attend your services.

So, for me Christmas is just another day to cherish the people I love. They will come to my home and we will share a meal, Mexican this year 🙂 , we will spend the afternoon enjoying time together talking, laughing and telling stories and loving each other. Sounds perfect!

Have a wonderful day 🙂

Blessed Be ❤

A Little Bit of Sunshine

Hello my friends

I was reading a post from A Momma’s View the other day about her being nominated for the Sunshine blogger award. I was happy for her and I congratulated her. Then went to read and comment on another blog. A few minutes later the realization hit me that Sandra had nominated me as one of her recipients of the award! Talk about a delayed reaction, a bit slow on the uptake LOL. Thank you, A Momma’s View what an honor. She has a fantastic blog, if you have never checked it out click the link I am sure you will love it too.

The Sunshine blogger awards rules:

  • Thank the person that nominated you. Done
  • Answer the 11 questions from your nominator. 🙂 always fun
  • Nominate 11 bloggers and give them eleven questions to answer. Hmm what to ask!

Here are the questions she asked and my answers:

  1. Could you spend 30 days without any electronic devices? I could and I would love every moment of it but since my business depends on them I probably shouldn’t try.
  2. Would you rather go hike in the Himalayas or go deep see diving in an exotic place? Both are wonderful but I love the mountains and would rather hike the Himalayas. It’s cold way up there but you can add a layer to stay warm. There are things in the ocean that can and will eat you. Now if I could sit on the beach with a nice cocktail and watch the water we can talk!
  3. Who would you want to be with on a deserted island with if you would be stranded there for at least two months? I get so little me time to myself. I would love to be stranded with me and a pile of books I have been meaning to read.
  4. What do you think would be your best skill if you’d be stranded on a deserted island? I was taught to be pretty self sufficient and am a practical person. I could build a shelter and find water and food.
  5. What is the major thing you know you teach your children? I taught my son to be respectful, to believe in himself and have the inner strength to follow his dreams. To be a leader not a follower and to not be afraid to question the status quo.
  6. What gets you to a boiling point (besides hot water of course)? Closed minded people. I also know that there is little I can do to alter their belief systems if they are not willing to open.
  7. What calms you down the fastest when you are really angry? A short meditation and some deep breathing. Lighting some sage is also good.
  8. How often do you hug a day? Many, many many times. I am from a family of huggers!
  9. What would be your ultimate dream destination if you would win a free trip with all expenses covered for you and the entire family? Ireland
  10. Which animal are you the most afraid of and why? Humans because we are the most dangerous thing on the planet. Animals act out of instinct, humans act out of ignorance, fear and hate.
  11. Do you have that one best friend and for how long do you know each other? No actually I don’t have any close or best friends. That sounds rather pathetic and there are times I wish I had someone to go for a cup of coffee with or something, but I am happy. I never feel alone or lonely and I am surrounded with people that love me.

OK now to the people I wish to nominate:

Kally at MiddleMe

Loki’s Little Hippie Witch

One Among Many

Mary Job

Morgan Mills

Angelicdarkness 70

Hocuspocus 13

And my questions for them 🙂

  1. What drew you to blogging?
  2. Do you tend to think then speak or speak then think?
  3. What did you want to be when you were young?
  4. Is that childhood desire the path you followed to adulthood?
  5. What is your favorite flower?
  6. Is there a subject you would love to blog about but haven’t?
  7. Are you a cat person or a dog person?
  8. Would like a garden or a farm?
  9. Do you prefer the woods or a meadow?
  10. Are you a big city kid or a small town kid?
  11. What is your favorite cocktail?

I think I have covered everything. I am looking forward to reading everyone’s responses 🙂

Have a good rest of your day
