All the cards for our Weekend Ahead are talking to us about new beginnings. This is pretty impressive as two of these cards are Major Arcana, giving us a look at big life lessons and the other two from the Royal Arcana offering us new ideas. The only problem is we may have to fight for it. The underlying energy of our weekend is the Page of Swords. This young man is bursting with new thoughts and ideas, but we’ll come back to him, lets see what the Weekend Ahead looks like first.
Friday comes with our first Royal Arcana card, the Page of Wands. Pages are similar to Aces in that they bring us new ideas. This Page brings us an idea we may be excited about exploring, but if we take a look at our card we see our young Page is so busy admiring his wonderful idea that he isn’t doing anything to make it real. The clear blue sky tells us that nothing is stopping him accept his commitment to action. If we want to pursue this idea we are going to have to commit and stay committed.
Saturday brings us the Death card. This of course doesn’t mean a physical death; we are looking at the end of a cycle, a transformation. The old way of doing things is eventually cast aside in favor of what is new and more useful to our lives. This stands true for the way we think about things and our belief systems. When we reach a certain point in our growth we must let go of what no longer serves our highest good in order for the new to come in. Be courageous and move into the change today.
Sunday Friday brought us a great idea. Saturday, we cleared out some old clutter to make room for the new and today we have The Fool leading us in to a new beginning with a leap of faith. We saw our Fool earlier this week and he is back with all his spontaneity and unlimited potential. All we have to do is decide if we want to follow, but life is an adventure isn’t it?
So we are back to our Bottom Card and the Page of Swords. I said earlier that we might have to fight for our new beginning. Swords are the realm of intellect, ideas and belief systems. We see our Page with his sword in the air, he has a new idea blowing in on the wind but he is standing on uneven ground. This tells us that his sword may be in the air because he is defending himself and his idea. We may have some people who don’t agree with our idea or our plans this weekend. Remember that when two Royal Arcana cards appear in a reading their message is amplified. Our Pages are telling us to stand and take notice. Our two Major Arcana cards are equally pointing to changes this weekend. If you are committed, stand your ground and don’t let anyone change your mind. Reassure everyone that you have a solid plan and go for it!
